“A water bearer in India had two large pots; one hung on each end of a pole, which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. It was perfect for the purpose for which it was made. However, the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream, “I am ashamed of myself, and i want to apologize to you.” “Why” asked the bearer, “what are you ashamed of”? “I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all of the way back to your master’s house, because of my flaws you have to do all of this work and you don’t get a full value from your efforts” the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, “as we return to the master’s house I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.” Indeed, as they went up the hill the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path and it cheered it some. Nevertheless, at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load and so again, it apologized to the bearer for its failure. The bearer said to the pot, “did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path? I planted flower seeds on that side of the path and every day while walking back from the stream, you watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the master’s table.”

BELIEF ~

What is your belief about yourself?  How do you see yourself?  Do you believe what others believe about you or do you walk to the beat of your own drum? 

            Each of us carries within us the power to be what ever we choose to be.  All that needs to take place is the simple word – belief!   A life of abundance is driven by the Law of Attraction and the Law of Attraction is fueled by BELIEF IN SELF.

 DOUBT ~ 

 Walking hand and hand with lack of belief in self is doubt – self-doubt, or doubt in the product or materials or opportunity. When you stop believing in yourself you doubt your abilities to perform and vice-versa – when you doubt your abilities you lose your belief in yourself.

            Each of us has the ability to change everything about us or that surrounds us or that affects us.  Yet because we all too often give in and take the easy road and let others control us or direct our paths, we find ourselves on a path that seems to lead us away from our goals and dreams and we begin to doubt and lose belief.

 PRIDE ~  

Usually Pride kicks in after we have walked down a path led by others and we  do not know how to get back or out of the situation.  Add lack of belief and doubt together and it seems to strengthen pride, why?  When did it become acceptable in your own personal life to lose sight of your goals and dreams because of pride?   Pride does nothing but blow out the candle of your mind, leaving you in the dark.

Live the Life you were meant to live and Dare to achieve your Dreams!

1 ~ Enthusiasm – without it nothing worthwhile was ever achieved. It’s not what you say but how you say it

2 ~ Fault-finding - blame no one when things go wrong. You do whatever you can to improve matters.

3 ~ Goals – be crystal clear as to your purpose and direction and have the courage to act accordingly

4 ~ Optimism – look at obstacles as opportunities. Nothing will stop you.

5 ~ Confidence – see every setback as a stepping stone. Learn and move on.

6 ~ Discipline – develop your willpower by setting for yourself high standards and goals persevering until each of them is achevied.  Have a written plan and review it daily. Discipline is not a dirty word to a visionary, because achieving their dreams becomes fun.

7 ~ Courage – dare to step outside the boundaries of conventional wisdom. See the bigger picture.

 8 ~ Focus – develop the ability to zero in on whatever tasks you set for yourself. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted.

 9 ~ Vision – be solution oriented, not problem oriented.

 10 ~ Have the end in sight – view each day as a fresh beginning, bright with promise and seeing yourself achieving the so-called impossible.
